What is a Pool Fence?
While our backyard pools are a beautiful and healthy source of family fun, they also pose an ever present drowning danger. When it comes to keeping our children safe, there is no substitute for adult supervision; however, since no one can be in all places, at all times, layers of safety are a must. A pool fence is the top safety choice of many pool owners.
Removable fencing is an attractive, convenient safety solution that can encircle the entire pool or be configured between your home and your water feature. This type of fence provides a climb resistant, nearly transparent barrier that can be left permanently in place or can be completely or partially removed to accommodate special circumstances. Fences are available in a variety of colors and gate options. When not in use, the fence can be rolled for compact and easy storage. It allows you to have a clear view of your pool or spa while maintaining the aesthetics of the surrounding area. Your safety barrier will enhance your peace of mind and allow your family full enjoyment of your pool area for many years to come.

Once you select the pool fence that’s right for you, your estimator will schedule an installation date with you. The next available installation date can vary from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the season. Again, it’s wise to plan ahead so we can give you the best possible service.
Day of Installation
The installation of an All-Safe® pool fence requires patience, skill and experience. When installed properly, a removable pool fence will look fantastic and provide an excellent, easy to use, layer of safety.
The installation process begins with your approval of the layout. After a careful review of the pool area, the pool deck is marked for drilling. Holes are drilled approximately every three feet. These holes are drilled with a water-cooled core drill utilizing a diamond-tipped core bit. The resulting hole is very precise. Plastic deck sleeves are placed into these holes which hold and support the pool safety fence poles. When the pool safety fence is not in use, deck plugs are placed into the deck sleeves to fill the holes.
After the deck is drilled, the fence and gate can be installed into the holes. Our fencing comes in sections of 12, 14 and 15 feet. These sections are customized and connected together to make a continuous fence which either completely surrounds the pool area or runs from one side of the yard to other. It is critical that your pool fence creates a barrier between the pool and all doors and windows. A fence that completely surrounds the pool will almost always be the safest layout option.
Most installations are completed in about a day. Upon completion of your job, the crew will give you a demonstration and instructions on the use and care of your new fence. They will answer any questions that you may have and will collect final payment. Although taking your fence down and putting it back up again is a fairly simple process, we suggest keeping it in place as a constant layer of safety for your peace of mind.
We are often asked how much our pool safety fences costs per foot. This is difficult to answer because every pool and safety solution is different. Each pool safety quote is designed and priced per the ASTM requirements and to achieve maximum safety, provide convenience and maintain your aesthetic desire.
The layout, deck and drilling surfaces, elevation changes, custom features, labor requirements, etc must all be considered in accurately determining the cost of your safety barrier. Therefore, the cost of each job is individually calculated. Based on an overall average, we usually advise people to budget between $1000 and $2500 to secure their pool and then we provide an exact quote upon inspection. You’ll find All-Safe fences to consistently be the best overall value in the pool fencing market.
What are the advantages of removable mesh pool fencing?
The entire fence can be removed in minutes for a special occasion and rolled up for compact storage. The mesh is transparent, which allows a clear view of your pool, and has no foothold which makes its very climb resistant.
Is a mesh pool fence safe?
Yes, our pool fences have been independently tested by a third party test lab and were found to exceed the ASTM requirements for a safe pool fence. Our poles are incredible strong and our mesh is nearly impossible to rip or tear.
Will holes have to be drilled into my deck?
Yes, removable pool fencing requires holes in your deck. We will drill either ⅝” or 1 ¼” holes depending on the style of fencing that you choose. When the fence is removed, the holes are covered with plugs.
Can I install the fencing myself?
Drilling holes in your deck might sound easy, but getting the proper angles requires lots of practice. We highly recommend that you hire a trained professional to install your pool fence.
Will a removable pool fence work on my pool?
We can customize our fencing to secure most backyard pools, including irregular shapes, varied surfaces and elevation changes.
Which mesh is the most transparent?
We offer the two most popular styles of pool fence mesh. Although personal preferences vary, both are very similar as to transparency and strength.
Which is safer, a pool fence or safety net?
This question is very difficult to answer and really depends on the size and shape of your pool, the layout of your house and backyard, the ages of your children and the individual way that you use your pool. Our safety expert will ask you questions and will help you decide which product is best for your family.
Will a removable pool fence satisfy regulatory agency requirements?
Specific safety barriers can be required by certain government and/or social agencies. If you plan to adopt a child, open a day care center or become a foster parent, you should contact the agency you are working with. They will be able to tell you which barrier and specifications will be in compliance. Your local building department can determine what type of barriers will fulfill requirements for new construction. Unfortunately, All-Safe® can make no determination or guarantee as to the suitability of its barriers for purposes of satisfying any specific jurisdiction.
How long will it take to get my pool fence installed?
The actual installation of your pool fence typically takes about one day. However, the entire process, starting from when you first contact us through the completion of your installation, can take anywhere from a few days, to several weeks. It is best to call us at least 3 to 4 weeks prior to your desired installation date.
I already have a removable fence. How can I purchase replacement parts?
We offer gate hardware, deck sleeves, and other fence components which are available for purchase online.
