Safety Turtle addresses your water safety concerns with the Pet Immersion Alarm and it is convenient and easy to use with any pet:
  • Safety Turtle works with ALL Fresh Water, natural [lake, river and pond] or man made [pool, hot tub and pond]. For use with salt water, see our information regarding Salt Water Pools.
  • No installation required.
  • Quick set up and test.
  • A loud alarm instantly sounds at the Base Station when the Turtle is immersed in water. The alarm continues to sound until it is reset.
  • Rain, light spray or ground moisture won't trigger the alarm.
  • The Turtle is small and light enough to be worn by the tiniest dog or cat.
  • The Turtle securely attaches to any pet’s collar, harness or life jacket using Velcro.
  • The Turtle is permanently sealed and can withstand pet's play.
  • The Turtle has a battery life of 3-4 years.
  • Your pet is protected even while the pool is in use or is being cleaned. There is no need to turn the system off.

The Safety Turtle Pet Immersion Alarm includes:

If you have more than one pet, additional wristbands of the same color may be purchased separately. Wristbands must all be the same color to work in conjunction with the same base station. Additional velcro wristband pet adapters are also available to purchase separately.
It is necessary to attach the Safety Turtle Wristband to your pet's collar with a velcro pet adapter. One velcro pet adapter is included.

Safety Turtle and Salt Chlorinated Pools

Do you have a salt chlorinated pool? If you aren’t sure, consult your pool contractor. If you do have a salt chlorinated pool, read the following:

The salt concentration of chloride salt pools and spas is typically 2,400 to 3,600 ppm, but this varies in practice. The concentration of bromide salt pools and spas is about half this. The salt concentration of non-salt chlorinated pools and spas, including pools using ozonators, varies from 50 parts per million [ppm] to several hundred ppm.

For succesful set up with a chloride salt pool, the Base Station may have to be less than 50 ft. [15 m.] from the pool. Above a 4000 ppm salt concentration, the Base Station may have to be pool side.
